Univision and Televisa are popular among Hispanics in the United States and in many other parts of the world. Thanks to their reach, both can join forces to important causes such as the recently announced alliance to promote the training of young Latinos in the media and new technologies.

The main goal of both is to strengthen and intensify efforts to increase the number of offers in the media and technology sectors for Latinos.

Thus, thanks to them, there will be many well-trained leaders and media professionals in the future.

Conscious of the economic, political and cultural impact of Hispanics in the United States, Televisa and Univision seek to focus on increasing their participation in productions, documentaries and short films that will be broadcast in Fusion, Univision‘s bilingual television and digital media network.

In addition to this, companies will seek to provide guidance scholarships that will help motivate multicultural writers to work in different formats (radio, cinema, print and digital media).

Another objective is to support the known incubation programs, through which the new Latino media producers can showcase their productions and skills.

In addition to that, Univision announced that a technology and learning center will open at its station in San Jose, California. There, training in new technologies will be provided, and media laboratories will be put in motion in selected elementary schools across the country.

Undoubtedly, this alliance provides significant support in order for children and young Hispanic Americans to have more and better career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

The agreement between Univision and Televisa has the support of the National Hispanic Media Coalition, the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts and the National Association of Latino Independent Producers.
